Day 1 & 2 - Welcome to Edinburgh
Arrive in Bonnie Scotland and transfer to your city centre hotel. Enjoy a short, guided walking tour with your group before checking into your hotel and taking an evening to explore on your own. Start your first day in Edinburgh by ascending Castle Rock to Edinburgh Castle. Stroll along the Royal Mile and descend to Mary King’s Close for a unique underground tour. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to immerse yourself in the city.
Day 3 - The Kingdom Of Fife
Depart Edinburgh this morning with your local guide and head to the Firth of Forth for a spectacular boat trip under the 3 Forth bridges. Continue through Fife, with scenic stops in charming coastal towns like Crail and Anstruther. Enjoy some lunch at leisure in St Andrews, before a traditional whisky distillery tour. Head over the Tay Bridge to Dundee where you’ll check in for the next 2 nights.
Day 4 - Explore Dundee
Spend the day in the city of Dundee, a UNESCO city of design famous for Jam, Jute and Journalism! Enjoy a visit to the V&A, Scotland’s first design museum. Board the RSS Discovery and follow the trail of Robert Scott, the famous Antarctic discoverer. The rest of the day is at your leisure with Hop-On Hop-Off Bus tickets at your disposal to explore more of the city.
Day 5 - Take The Coastal Road
Embark on a captivating day tour from Dundee to Aberdeen, tracing a scenic route along Scotland’s east coast. Visit Arbroath Abbey, steeped in history but destroyed during the Reformation. Discover the ancient allure of Dunnottar Castle, perched dramatically on cliff s. Savour a coastal lunch in Stonehaven, before a picturesque drive along the River Dee. Arrive in Aberdeen, the granite city.
Day 6 - Discover The Granite City
Discover the granite city this morning with a guided walking tour. Learn about Aberdeen’s1000 year history and colourful characters, from pirates to Lord Byron. Take in the Castlegate, the harbour, Marischal College, Andy Scot’s ‘Poised’ and St Nicholas Kirk. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure– why not visit the city art gallery, maritime museum or science centre?
Day 7 & 8 - The Cairngorms, Loch Ness& Departure
Embark on a breathtaking day excursion through the heart of Scotland’s stunning landscapes. Begin your adventure with a scenic ride on the Cairngorm Mountain Railway, offering panoramic views of the rugged terrain and ancient forests below. Stop in Inverness for some lunch at your leisure, followed by a cruise of Loch Ness, keeping an eye out for any signs of its famous resident. On your final day, depart for the airport via a stop at the famous Falkirk Wheel -- the world’s only rotating boat lift -- before heading to the airport and saying goodbye to your group.
